Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 5th, 1930. When he was very young, he was very interested in flying. He attended Blume high school. Then, he became a test pilot. Armstrong`s first flight on a rocket plane was on August 15th, 1975, on the Bell X-IB. It could altitude 11.4 miles.
Neil Armstrong rode the Gemini 8 for his first- rode spaceship. It was launched on March 13th, 1966. Walter Cunningham, Neil Armstrong, and Scott rode it.
His most famous spaceflight was the Apollo 11 mission. He rode the Apollo 11 and went to the moon. Neil Armstrong was known as that he was the first person to step on moon. Because of the first step on moon, Neil Armstrong became famous.
He got the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Robert H. Goddard Memorial Trophy, The Silvanus Thayer Award, and The Coiler Trophy from the National Aeronautics association, and the Congressional gold medal. He really sure is a very famous astronaut.
